Pitrupaksh Mela

The seventh day of the Pitrupaksh Mela saw a vast inflow of devotees who seek Moksha for their ancestors. The NCC cadets of Gaya Group are acting like conduits assisting the devotees to achieve their aim. The district administration has acknowledged the immense support of the cadets in managing crowds, providing assistance to the old and weary travellers as also making all the devotees feel at home with a few kind words, some snippets of the history of Gaya and some historical significance of the Vishnupad Temple, Sita Kund, Akshayvat and the Ghat
